The Long – Er, Short – Of It

August 23, 2010

No need to send a search party.

We are alive – just swimming in a sea of new client opportunities, trips and learnings that have left us little time to blog and connect with all of you! There definitely is a long and short version of the story. However, today calls for the short – and in picture form, no less.

Just over two weeks ago, we took a little adventure to NYC for BlogHer. It was one of the most fabulous, whirlwind weeks of our lives.

Speaking at BlogHer

One of the biggest highlights of the trip was leading our own panel (Gen Y Passionistas: Making Your Passion “Work” For You), something we had been eagerly anticipating for many, many months! Not only was it amazing to share our experience, but we also got the chance to meet many incredible women who are ready to pursue their passions, which was inspiring for us as well!

Tutus In NYC

Pre-speaking we ran the BlogHer 5k (Jill’s first ever!), a run dedicated to a great cause called Tutus for Tanner that you should really check out!

Running Group NYC

Not only did we run with a fabulous group of ladies, but we ended the adventure in Times Square – where Jess snapped this photo! From left to right, we have JessAshley, Jenn, Jill and Jess!

The rest of the weekend? It was pretty much a blur of that consisted of…

Hersey

…roasting marshmallows with Kristin in the Hershey’s suite…

BlogHer group

…meeting and mingling with some fiercely savvy and intelligent young women. Back row is Morgan, Jill, Jenn, Kinsey and Gazalle. Front row is JessAshleyJess and Lauren

BookieBoo

…finally meeting one incredibly inspirational lady in-person…

Glamour NYC

…and attending a couple of glamorous soirees!

This brings us to Sunday, when we held our first-ever large client event – a walk in NYC for Flatout, which you can read all about here.

Flatout Walkers

The event was incredibly fun and a great way to end our weekend at BlogHer! However, we weren’t quite ready to leave NYC yet. The next day brought editor desksides – literally a dream-come-true for Jenn and me – we have grown up with our noses in magazines.

That was followed by a trip to Pittsburgh to visit our newest client Leslie Sansone and her fabulous Walk at Home team!

Throw in a trip to Minnesota and Arizona (between the two of us), the start of a new project and all sorts of research and thoughts on hiring – and you’ve basically got our disappearance in a nutshell. We’ve missed you very much and can’t wait to get back into the swing of posting and chatting with you!

In the meantime, what’s new on your end? How’s work going? Have you found some new reasons to say TGIM?

We’re excited to hear!

Dream Bigger,

The Chi Passionistas Signature

Wow you ladies have been exceptionally busy, and crushing it! :) Congratulations on the new client opportunities. Are you maybe getting to the point where you might be hiring soon?
