Fall-owing Through On My Goals

September 6, 2011

September always marks the start of fall for me. Perhaps it’s the school supplies (you better believe I still buy them) or the cooler temperatures. Perhaps it’s the beginning of the football season or the pumpkin beer. Most likely, it’s a combination of all of these things and more.

Whatever the perfect recipe for fall may be, one thing is for certain.

Fall is the time for fall-owing through on my goals for the rest of the year.

(See what I did there?)

As much as I try to write everything down in list form, it is often easier said than done. Not to mention that because I live a life of organized chaos, it’s often difficult to find said list unless I put it somewhere that I know I will remember. In a blog post, for instance.

So, here goes.

Goals For Fall 2011

Business

  • Launch the full DreamChamps site to the public in mid-September.
  • Cultivate relationships with 2-3 potential new POP! Social Media clients.
  • Finalize financial aspirations – and calendar dates to meet them by.
  • Finalize non-financial aspirations – and calendar dates to meet them by.
  • Follow up on one business-related email or in person meeting per week.

Personal

  • Write at least 1,000 words of my novel every day.
  • Finish first draft of my novel by the end of October.
  • Train for Chicago Monster Dash Half Marathon.
  • Make a better effort to dine in and try new recipes.
  • Organize my home once per week – less clutter = peace of mind.

There are many more baby steps along the way, but these are the big ones. The goals I know I would look back at with a smile on my face at the end of the year if I complete them successfully. Here we go!

What are your personal and business/work goals for the rest of the year?

Writing them down is the first step toward making them into a reality.
